Canadian government has sent trucks and helicopters to evacuate thousands of people stranded north of the country, as wildfire ravaged nearly a quarter million acres around the oil town of Fort McMurray in Alberta. Authorities say about eight thousand people will be airlifted out, but most are expected to drive south with police escorts.
