Four people were injured after a car rammed into pedestrians in downtown Chengdu, capital of southwest China’s Sichuan Province on Jan. 23.
The car, parked at a wrong place outside a shopping mall, suddenly drove backwards, when the driver saw a police officer walking near.
It then turned onto a bicycle lane and went in a direction not allowed by traffic regulations.
Four passers-by were injured after being hit by the vehicle.
The police stopped the car at Longtengzhong Road, but the driver fled the scene.
A manhunt is still ongoing.
