China and CEE countries to gather for ministerial meeting

The ministry of commerce has announced that the second China-CEEC Ministerial Meeting on Promoting Trade and Economic Cooperation will be held next week in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. China’s Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng and his counterparts from 16 Central and Eastern European countries will take part in the event. An Investment and Trade Expo will also be held along with the ministerial meeting. China’s trade volume with CEE countries reached 56 billion US dollars last year, and its investment in those countries topped 5 billion US dollars. Both sides aim to boost economic and trade cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative in the coming years.
