China and Peru are strengthening ties of friendship by celebrating the Chinese New Year. The Chinese Embassy in Lima opened its doors to receive hundreds of guests for an evening of entertainment and traditional food from the Asian country. An artistic delegation from Chengdu thrilled audiences with their operatic performances, illusions, and martial arts demonstrations.
Li Yun, the embassy’s business liaison, said that, during the Year of the Rooster, bilateral relations were deepened as the two countries exchanged ideas on politics, economics, and culture. She stated that the coming Year of the Dog would continue and even reinforce these ties.
