China begins implementing two-child policy

China has ended its decades-long One-Child policy. The country’s population control authorities held a press conference in Beijing on Monday morning, and released more details on new policies which come into effect in January. Under the new laws, families in China can now have two children maximum each. The National Health and Family Planning Commission is stressing, however, that the basic state policy for family planning will not change in the coming future.
