China-build SGR works out alternative routes to save Kenyan heritage house

70 year old Alan Donovan has been collecting original African Art, Ornaments and other pieces since the 1960’s. He is the Co-author of the African heritage house located along the Athi Plains in the outskirts of Nairobi the Kenya capital.

However recently Donovan was faced with the biggest challenge as his house was almost brought down because it was on the route of the currently under construction Standard Gauge railway.

Although this was a stressing period he says, actually other Chinese contractors came and offered solutions for the route of the railway that wouldn’t affect the house.
