The forum on China-Africa Cooperation, which was first launched in 2000, has helped promote economic and trade ties between China and the continent, according to Chinese Vice Commerce Minister Qian Keming. When the forum was first established 15 years ago, trade volume between China and Africa was only 10 billion US dollars. Now China has become the continent’s largest trading partner for six years running, with trade volume expected to exceed 300 billion US dollars in 2015.
