China fights back after months of declining trade numbers

Earlier this month figures revealed China’s imports and exports shrank again in November. Foreign trade fell by 4.8% in yuan terms year on year to 2.16 tn yuan (approximately US$337 bn), a ninth straight month of decline, according to official figures from the General Administration of Customs. To address the ongoing issues of falling trade stats, the General Administration of Customs (GAC) have brought in a raft of measures.
