China and Italy held a bilateral business forum on Thursday to explore cooperation opportunities in the technical and commercial industries of two countries.
The forum, in its third year, mainly focused on finance, infrastructure construction and healthcare sectors.
Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks at the forum.
Renzi said Italy attaches great importance to China’s status and influence in the world, and hopes to strengthen beneficial cooperation in the areas such as trade, investment.
For his part, Wang Yi noted that positive progress has been made in bilateral cooperation in five priority areas and China is willing to tap new fields of Sino-Italy cooperation.
Representatives from leading Italian and Chinese companies also exchanged views over environmental protection and sustainable development.
