The Chinese Foreign Ministry has criticized what it calls “little tricks” by Japan in creating contradictions and exaggerating tensions over the South China Sea dispute. The statement comes after reports emerged that Japan plans to mention the three principles of “rule of law at sea” in their declaration.The principles were proposed by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in 2014.
