Electric cars are getting increasingly popular in China, with sales this year expected to surpass the U.S. to rank first worldwide.

Electric car sales in China may reach 220,000 to 250,000 this year, which will become the world’s No. 1 electric car market.
According to the China Association of Automobile Manufactures, worldwide electric cars sales will hit 600,000 and the figure for the U.S. market is estimated to be 180,000.
Although China has achieved rapid development in electric vehicles, quality instead of quantity should be focused on for the sustainable development of the industry.
