China pledges 300 million US dollars to help deal with global refugee crisis

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has announced that China will provide 300 million US dollars to help the world’s refugees after the first-ever UN Summit for Refugees and Migrants on the sidelines of the 71st UN General Assembly session. Li says 100 million US dollars worth of humanitarian aid will directly go to international organizations and countries in need. The rest of the sum will be pumped into the China-UN Peace and Development Fund, which will support developing countries with refugee problems.
