China reiterates denuclearization stance after DPRK’s nuclear test

The Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed opposition to the DPRK’s nuclear test on Friday, urging the DRPK to refrain from actions that may worsen tensions in the Korean Peninsula. Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said China’s stance has always been to achieve denuclearization on the Peninsula, prevent nuclear proliferation and maintain peace and stability in Northeast Asia.
