China rejects Vietnam’s accusations over test flights in S China Sea

China conducted two test flights landing on and taking off from its southernmost airport on Yongshu Jiao in South China Sea.

Beijing said the move, including emergency landings and maritime rescue, was developing for humanitarian purposes.

However, Vietnam’s civil aviation authorities sent a protest letter about the flights to Beijing.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hong Lei said China has indisputable sovereignty over the islands and waters, and Vietnam’s accusations are groundless.
