For a country that eyes a brighter future and envisions even greater strides in development, China is definitely short-sighted. An eyebrow-raising 90 percent of Chinese teenagers and young adults are thought to have myopia, according to a report from Nature Research in 2015. 60 years ago, a meager 10 to 20 percent of the Chinese population were near-sighted.
But one entrepreneur is trying to help eliminate the blurriness of Chinese people’s vision, giving them hope of clearer eyesight.
