China to hold military drills in the South China Sea

China has announced it will conduct military exercises this week in the waters. The China Maritime Safety Administration posted on its website on Sunday saying drills in the region will begin on Tuesday and run until July 11. The exercises will conclude one day before the arbitration court in The Hague announces its decision on the South China Sea territorial dispute, in a case unilaterally initiated by the Philippines.
