China is set to release its first-quarter GDP figures on Friday. Investors are eagerly awaiting the numbers for clues on the outlook for growth over the next nine months of the year. CCTVNEWS spoke with leading economists to hear their expectations. The overall consensus reached by analysts estimates a GDP growth rate of 6.7% for the first three months of the year, a drop from 6.8% growth in the fourth-quarter of last year. The first two months of 2016 were quiet, but March has seen every economic indicator published so far exceed expectations.
