China, US see progress on UN resolution against DPRK

China and the United States signaled on Tuesday that they are close to an agreement on a UN resolution against the DPRK for its January 6 nuclear test. “Important progress has been made in the consultations and we are looking at the possibility of reaching agreement on a draft resolution and passing it in the near future,” Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said at a joint news conference with the US Secretary of State John Kerry. Wang is currently on a three-day visit to the US.
