China, world welcome first panda cub to be bred in captivity in 2016

The world’s first giant panda cub to be bred in captivity this year was born at 6:06 a.m. on May 6 at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, in southwest China’s Sichuan Province. The tiny male panda cub weighed only 145 grams at the time of his birth. Follow CCTVNEWS to take a look at the cub taking his first glimpse of light.
