China’s aid to Ebola-affected countries wins praise

China has become one of the biggest contributors of aid during global health crises. The Ebola virus spread across West Africa in 2014, and claimed more than 6 thousand lives in just a few months. The Chinese government provided four batches of emergency humanitarian aid, worth 117.7 million US dollars, to the four affected countries in West Africa. And more than 1,000 experts and medical workers were also sent there. China’s aid has won high praise from the World Health Organization, as well as the affected countries.
