China’s Belt and Road Initiative to strengthen integration:expert

Proposed by China in 2013, the Belt and Road Initiative is intended to build an open and smooth channel of trade, capital and cooperation across the Eurasian continent.

Expert believed that the initiative will provide great opportunities for countries along the routes integrating into the global economy.

“Countries along the Belt and Road can benefit from the initiative. Infrastructure connectivity will prompt economic development and provide more job opportunities for these countries.”

Official data showed that Chinese enterprises directly invested a total of 14.8 billion U.S. dollars into 49 countries within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative in 2015, up 18.2 percent compared with the previous year.

“Some new frameworks of cooperation between China and other countries are built, such as the China-Russia-Mongolia economic corridor and China & Central Asia economic corridor.
