China’s famed warship sunken in Yellow Sea Battle discovered

An underwater archeological mission in the Yellow Sea has discovered one of four warships of the Chinese Beiyang Fleet sunk by the Japanese navy during the first Sino-Japanese War 120 years ago. The 2,300-tonne warship, “Zhiyuan”, was lost in the battle at the Yellow Sea on September the 17th, 1894.
