China’s first anti-domestic violence law took effect eight months ago. What’s the progress so far?

It’s been over 8 months since China’s first anti-domestic violence law went into effect. By law, the court is solely responsible for executing civil protection measures, like prohibiting the abuser from approaching the victim and paying for costs resulted from the abuse. However, if the order cannot reach people around the victims, like doctors and nurses, police, and also relatives, then protection measures only stay on paper as it is the people who protect the victims, not the order.
