China’s inflation flat in March despite food price hike

China’s March inflation plateaued for the second month in a row, falling below expectations, despite a hike in food prices. The Consumer Price Index (CPI), an indicator of inflation, grew 2.3 percent on annual basis in March, in line with February’s reading, official data from China’s National Bureau of Statistics showed Monday.
