China’s top economic planner, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), said on Wednesday that the economic transition that the country is undergoing will result in more jobs being created in the service sector and via start-ups. NDRC spokesman Zhao Chenxin’s comments came amid concerns being raised over the slowdown in China’s growth over the past year. China’s GDP growth eased to 6.9% last year, the slowest in 25 years.
