China’s new envoy to Peru obliged to enhance co-op in APEC, climate change

New Chinese Ambassador to Peru Jia Guide exchanged views with President Ollanta Humala on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the areas of the Forum of Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation, climate change and other issues of international concern, while Jia’s credentials were presented to Humala on August 20 in Lima.

Humala confirmed that his government attaches great importance to developing its relations with China, hoping that pragmatic cooperation will be enriched.

The president also praised the contribution that Chinese-funded enterprises have made to the economic and social development of Peru.

The Chinese-Peruvian diplomatic ties were established 44 years ago and upgraded to comprehensive strategic partnership in 2013.
