China’s Suning to buy 69% stake in Inter Milan

Chinese retail giant Suning has announced it’s buying a 69% stake in the Italian football club Inter Milan. The deal is worth 270 million euros, or 306 million US dollars. The current majority owner, Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir, will cut his stake to 30 percent and become the second largest shareholder. Suning has already bought a football club in the Chinese Super League and poured in more than 100 million euros during the winter transfer window.
