China’s Vice FM: South China Sea arbitration not fully in accordance with international law

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin has said in an article China does not accept the notion that the South China Sea arbitration is completely in accordance with international laws. He noted that the arbitral tribunal seriously violates China’s free rights in choosing dispute solutions with the contracting parties of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS). He also described the arbitration as a political farce, which is unilaterally filed by the Philippines.
