Chinese brands attracting more Indian customers

Chinese technology companies are now looking to India’s smartphone market to dial in further growth. A host of Chinese smartphones have already charted success in the country, and the latest to say hello to the world’s second largest smartphone market is LeEco. On Thursday the company hosted a flash sale for 30 minutes, during which it sold over 65,000 of its new phones. Industry Data for the first quarter of 2016 showed that Chinese smartphone brands command 22 per cent of market share, up 12 per cent from early 2015. While these brands offer sleek designs and top end features, the most attractive quality of these phones to Indian consumers is the affordable price.
