Chinese company brings Ethiopia’s leather industry to life

The Zhongfeiyang Leather Company (ZLC), a Chinese leatherwear manufacturer, plans to set up another factory to make leather gloves in Ethiopia, making its new move to expand its business in the African country since it established its first factory there in 2010. ZLC spent 27 million US dollars to build the first plant, but hasn’t made clear how much they will invest in the new factory. The company says that its maximum capacity in Ethiopia will reach 4.5 million pieces of leather products every year.
