Chinese couples allowed to have 2 kids from Jan 1, 2016

Chinese lawmakers have passed a historic amendment to the family planning law, allowing all couples to have two children. The revised law will take effect on January 1st next year. Experts believe the policy to allow a second child will affect 100 million families around the country. The change is expected to result in more than 30 million more people in the labor force by 2050 and a 2 percent decrease in the proportion of elderly in the Chinese population.
