A rare visit by a senior Japanese official to Beijing will improve bilateral relations but challenges still exist, according to China’s Foreign Ministry. Japan’s Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida, a close aide to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, will visit China from Friday through Sunday. During his stay in Beijing, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will hold talks with his visiting counterpart and the two are expected to exchange views on China-Japan relations, as well as international and regional issues of common concerns.
