In a move to boost the development of football in China, the Chinese Football Association (CFA) will separate from the State General Administration of Sports (GAS) and become a non-profit organization overseeing the growth of the sport. Officials from the two organizations met on Friday to discuss the details of a new reform plan. The separation, a long anticipated measure to streamline management of football in the country, is a key component of the plan.
