Chinese journalist asks US government to define Taping ‘island’ versus ‘rock’

Wang Bingru, a Chinese journalist asked during a US State Department daily press on Wednesday about US government’s definition of “island” and “rock”. As US Government map clearly writes “Taiping Island”, instead of “Taiping rock”, which is different from what the definition of the so call tribunal’s ruling on South China Sea on Tuesday. Mark Toner, deputy spokesperson for the US Department of State, reluctantly said that they are “not at this point to challenge the definition that they’ve put in there legally.”
