Chinese Lunar New Year’s Eve traditions

Sunday marks the Chinese Lunar New Year’s Eve. Dinner on this evening has “reunion” theme – us fish is traditionally served along with dumplings, especially in northern China, to signify prosperity.  Decorations are also important, and most of them are red, including the Fu, couplets, lanterns, paper-cuttings and door gods.
