Chinese peacekeepers celebrate National Day in Lebanon

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations and also the 25th year since China started to join the world body’s peacekeeping mission globally.

Chinese peacekeepers in Lebanon has held celebrations for China’s National Day.

Since 2006, China has sent 14 teams of peacekeepers with a total number of more than 4,800 to Lebanon.

These Chinese peacekeepers have cleared mine zones of nearly 2 million square meters and dealt with more than 15,000 unexploded bombs.

In addition, they also offer medical helps to over 12,600 local people.
