Chinese peacekeepers injured in Mali attack head home

Two Chinese peacekeepers seriously injured in a terrorist attack in Mali last month were discharged from hospital in Senegal’s capital Dakar and flown home on Sunday.
The two were seriously injured in the May 31 attack by Islamist militants on a UN mission camp in Gao, northern Mali. They were transferred to Dakar for treatment shortly after the attack.
Zhou Hufei, head of the medical team tending the duo during the journey back home, said the two were in a stable condition.
Two other Chinese peacekeepers, who were slightly injured in the attack, were on board the same plane back home.
