A Chinese pilot and his crew have left Beijing on a flight around the world in a propeller-driven plane, a first for China. Captain Zhang Bo received his private pilot’s license in the US, while studying at the University of Illinois. The 58-day journey will cover 40 thousand kilometers. They will fly over 20 countries including Russia, the US, Canada, Iceland and Britain. The plane will return to China along the ancient Silk Road trade route.
