More than 90,000 people have disappeared during Colombia’s armed conflict that started approximately in 1964. Now, the government has the arduous task of finding the bodies and identifying them. Colombian officials try to cross-check information and DNA samples with family members who have reported missing people. If there are still no results, forensic facial reconstruction will be employed. A smooth and efficient identification process is more important than ever, as family members hope to lay their loved ones to rest.
