In a press conference in Beijing on Thursday, China’s Ministry of Commerce revealed that foreign direct investment into China rose 7.2 percent in the first half of the year, to over 478 billion yuan.
Regarding the latest developments on China-U.S. trade talks, the Ministry said that both sides could find a way to resolve the issue if legitimate concerns are taken into consideration. Meanwhile, the Ministry is urging the U.S. to remove sanctions on Huawei as early as possible and clear a path for the healthy development of China-U.S. relations.
