Congress protest outside Parliament

Congress on Tuesday (August 4) protested outside the Parliament at the Gandhi statue against the suspension of its 25 MPs by the Lok Sabha Speaker yesterday. Congress president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi were leading the protest. Former prime minister Manmohan Singh was also present during the party protest. Congress MPs wore black arm bands in a protest against the suspension of Congress MPs in Parliament premises. Yesterday, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan suspended 25 Congress MPs for five days for obstructing the House.
