The Tang-Dynasty capital of China, Chang’an – known today as Xi’an – was gloriously enriched by the ancient Silk Road. For that reason, it was chosen as the location for the Second Silk Road International Arts Festival this week. Jointly sponsored by China’s Ministry of Culture and the provincial government of Shaanxi Province, the two-week event includes performances, exhibitions, workshops, seminars, and an animation-design competition.
