The lights are back on in Crimea, after a week-long power blackout in the peninsula. The Russian Emergency Situation Ministry said on Sunday that Crimea’s own electricity generation can now satisfy more than 50 percent of demand. A week ago last Sunday, alleged activists destroyed several electricity pylons in southern Ukraine, leaving more than 1.8 million people without power.
