Hollywood heavyweight Robert de Niro, a fan of Cuban cuisine, dined at the famed restaurant La Guarida in Havana on May 26.

Two months earlier, some Cubans born after 1959 watched rock concert first time in life.

The show in March just helped warm up the milieu, right before Barack Obama paid the first ever United States presidential visit to Havana in more than 80 years.

The two countries restored their diplomatic ties in July 2015 after 5 decades of detachment.

Before and after the détente, cultural delegations, mainly from the United States, swarmed to ancient city, marveling the young and evoking the elder.
