In an exclusive conversation with TIMES NOW, Farida Abdullah Khan, member of the National Commission for Minorities (NCM), said that the Dadri lynching was “not spontaneous”. According to a report prepared by NCM on the Dadri case, there was “some amount of planning” before the lynching of Mohammad Akhlaq, who was killed by a mob following rumours of cow slaughter. “There was no instigation for it. Announcements were made about beef being found at this man’s (Akhlaq’s) house. He had no idea but enough people were there to attack the family and kill one man and grievously injure his son,” Khan said.
