“We will have an energy source that we never dare to dream of. Santa Cruz is short of industries because energy is not enough and sells expensive. As the problem mounts, the dam project comes necessary and handy.”
Expectations are running high within the region, not only for industrial development, but for other businesses like tourism and catering which may change the local lives for the better.

“The dam project has brought here more people, who propel the local business, especially ours. Thanks to the investment from China and their technical staff members, all the gastronomic and hotel owners will have better days.”
With Chinese investment and technical support, the dam project along the Santa Cruz River is expected to generate 6,000 direct and 1,000 indirect jobs during their construction phase, and generate an estimated 5,000 GWh of electricity a year.
