Deadly king cobra captured in villager’s home

Unexpected visitor! A 2.6-meter-long king cobra hid in a villager’s home for over an hour in SW China’s Yunnan Province.
Local forest rangers used a stick to force it come out from a hole on the rooftop and a snake catcher gripped it with a special hoop. It was then sent to Yunnan Wildlife Rescue Center.
The king cobra is the world’s longest venomous snake. It is listed as an Appendix II animal within CITES.
