The death toll in the eastern Uganda landslide disaster has reached 35 and over 30 injured people are receiving treatment at a local health center. A regional police spokesperson said most of the recovered bodies came from waterways that are running from the mountains. Torrential rains on Thursday triggered the landslide in Bududa district. The government urges residents of the area to cooperate with authorities to avoid further danger. It has also dispatched relief supplies those affected.
