Details Of Rahul & Peter Mukerjea’s Mail Conversation | Sheena Murder Case

Emails exchanged between Rahul Mukerjea and his father Peter Mukerjea way back in May 2012 show that Rahul had raised a red flag on Sheena’s sudden disconnect with the world and Peter had asked him “to not drive himself in futility”. The emails were exchanged on May 27, 2012, over a month after Sheena was allegedly killed by Indrani Mukerjea, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna with help from Indrani’s driver Shyamvar Rai. The email extract forms a part of the over 1,800-page chargesheet filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation last week. An email sent by Indrani to Rahul (date could not be ascertained) asks him to let bygones be bygones. “Let’s all move on and be happy,” it says further. Among the emails annexed in the charge sheet, it is Rahul who has sent the first email to Peter, asking him if he had “heard anything from Sheena?” He then goes on to say, “Still mighty strange. Apparently no contact w(ith) anyone i.e. colleague or anyone else.” He then gets a little suspicious and says that Sheena hasn’t taken any stuff from home at all, therefore “her leaving seemed to be rushed or unplanned”. The next sentence shows that even Sheena’s biological father Siddhartha Das was aware of Sheena’s ‘sudden disappearance’. Rahul writes, “No response from her cellphone, by me, or her friends, or her father.” He then expresses surprise over no activity, by otherwise “very active” Sheena, on Facebook after April 21, 2012.
