In another twist to the politics over the grant of parole to Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader Om Prakash Chautala who is serving a decade-long jail term in teachers’ recruitment scam case, Delhi LG Najeeb Jung exclusively told Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief TIMES NOW, that AAP’s allegations came two days after the LG categorically refused to dismiss the pending cases against 20 AAP members. The Delhi LG told TIMES NOW that on 21 October Delhi Home Minister Satyendar Jain met Jung and requested him to dismiss the 20 cases pending against Aam Aadmi Party members, including Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. However, the LG rejected the plea and claimed that two days after that the Aam Aadmi Party sent a two-page file noting on Chautala’s file expressing displeasure over Lt Governor’s alleged pressure on his minister and said he strongly oppose parole to the former Haryana chief minister.
